1 Chronicles 29:9
Then the people rejoiced because they had offered so willingly, for they made their offering to the Lord with a whole heart, and King David also rejoiced greatly.
My name is Tina Whitehouse and it has been laid on my heart that I should start this project. I am calling it "Blanketed in His Love." I want this to be a huge success to show that we as the body of Christ will, even when times are hard, help one another. I am asking for donations of gently used or new blankets, coats, scarves, hats, gloves, sweatshirts/hoodies, and ear muffs.
I am collecting for Cunningham Children's Home in Champaign IL (http://www.cunninghamhome.org/), Home Sweet Home Mission in Bloomington IL (http://www.hshministries.org/), and The Clare House in Bloomington IL.
The date I am anticipating delivery is October 23rd. So donations need to be given by October 22nd. Donations can be accepted at my home - 117 Pine St Gibson City IL. You may contact me via email if arrangements need to be made at kyntt99@yahoo.com.
It is my mission to blanket (cover them) with their needs all year long. However it is getting colder by the day. I cannot stand the thought of anyone being cold or hungry. If our kids are cold we just turn the heat up a few degrees, that is not possible for them. Our kids can just grab something to eat whenever they are hungry, they can't. Please help me to "blanket" God's people with love, warmth, and a full tummy.
PLEASE PASS THIS ON, TELL EVERYONE YOU KNOW, JUST GET THE WORD OUT!!
Even one blanket, coat, pair of gloves or ear muffs, sweatshirt, scarf, or blanket can keep a person warm. Please consider donating an item of food with your gift of warmth. The Home Sweet Home Mission alone fed over 8,400 people in August. That amount of people does not include the soup kitchen provided by Clare House at St Mary's Church in Bloomington or the weekly bags of food they give away.
Imagine if each Facebook user gave one blanket, hat, scarf, pair of gloves, coat, or a sweatshirt/hoodie, and an item of food. Imagine all the warm people. Imagine the less amount of hungry kids. Imagine the possibilities each month that I ask you to help me change the world...35 miles away.
You can get a list of needs on their websites that I have given above.
Thank you in advance for your love, generosity, and commitment of helping.

a piece of my heart left
i stopped setting the table for four
i stopped hearing the singing in shower
i stopped fighting about homework
i stopped getting screamed at
i stopped getting the precious letters of apology
i stopped giving words of wisdom at bedtime
i stopped tucking her in
i stopped being upset about the messy bedroom
i stopped having to repeat myself over and over and over and over
i stopped having to answer those "embarrassing" questions
i stopped hearing her giggle
i stopped being jumpy waiting for her to scare me-again
i stopped hearing her amazing singing in the truck
i stopped seeing their dance videos they made while we were gone
i stopped being able to hug her ---
wishing the pain away while doing it
i stopped being able to tease her about boys-seeing
her cheeks turn red
i stopped being able to smell her perfume
i stopped being able to tell her
"that is enough hairspray" every morning
i started being able to pray for her more amd more
i started to realize even more how precious time is
i had to learn the hard rule --
"if you love them, you have to let them go"
i had to learn to love from far away
i still get out 4 plates (and put one back)
i still smell her secret crush shower gel her coconut shampoo-it's still in the shower
i watch the videos of her singing and
dancing with an ache in my heart
i wish love was enough
i wonder if she feels my love
i wonder if she only remembers the yelling between us
i will love her for the rest of my life
i wonder - does she hear me saying "i love you schmoopy"
on her way out the door
i pray for her more and more

Been gone for awhile and have a new camera! Look out pic posts!
Zeus
Chili
Kyle laying on the dead spot at the church superbowl party. It was a tricky track on a little bike.
I was messing with the new camera, but i really like this pic!
Kyle was painting M's room and he was doing some graffiti...
A picture of Kyle giving his first "message!" Thanks to the pic taker! He is becoming a Pastor!
and last but not least, this is me when i was a kid!!
Hello, it's me again!
You are looking at the ingredients of an award winningsandwich - for real!
It is ciabata (sp) bread, pepper jack cheese, delicious ham lunch meat, a big pepperoni, a slice of bacon, shredded lettuce, green and red pepper rings, tomato, pepperoncini shreds, red onion rings, and a decent squirt of zesty italian dressing!
All done except the top!
Finished product! Delicioso!!
The best part is that the money we won from this sandwich we gave back to our youth group and we are going to buy silicone bracelets to sell as a fundraiser!! Food with a purpose, what could be better?? Besides a granny cake to go with it! Never buy one if you haven't eaten it before--they are wonderfully addictive. Don't say i didn't warn you!

By Your Side by Tenth Avenue North
Why are you striving these daysWhy are you trying to earn grace
Why are you crying
Let me lift up your face
Just don't turn away
Why are you looking for love
Why are you still searching as if I'm not enough
To where will you go child
Tell me where will you run
To where will you run
And I'll be by your side
Wherever you fall
In the dead of night
Whenever you call
And please don't fight
These hands that are holding you
My hands are holding you
Look at these hands and my side
They swallowed the grave on that night
When I drank the world's sin
So I could carry you in
And give you life
I want to give you life
(Chorus 2x)
Cause I, I love you
I want you to know
That I, I love you
I'll never let you go
(Chorus 2x)
Promise of a lifetime by Kutless
I have fallen to my knees
As I sing a lullaby of pain
Im feeling broken in my melody
As I sing to help the tears go away
Then I remember the pledge you made to me
Chorus
I know youre always there
To my every prayer inside
Im clinging to the promise of a lifetime
I hear the words you say
To never walk away from me and leave behind
The promise of a lifetime
Will you help me fall apart
Pick me up, take me in your arms
Find my way back from the storm
And you show me how to grow
Through the change
I still remember the pledge you made to me
I am holding on to the hope I have inside
With you I will stay through every day
Putting my understanding aside
And I am comforted
